For White Ribbon Day 2021, Maritime Safety Queensland organised the formation of the White Ribbon logo made from personal watercraft (PWC) on the Brisbane River.

This out-of-the-box event idea was a fantastic initiative that saw over $5,000 raised and strong participation from men and boys.

In 2022, Maritime Safety Queensland has put the challenge out to the New South Wales Maritime to see who can raise the most money. You can donate and participate in the state-by-state battle below.

Dave organised in 2021 #ClimbForCompassion at Hardrock Climbing in Nunawading in Victoria.

He completed 52 climbs in one day to symbolise one woman a week in Australia murdered by a current or former partner.

He also managed to raise $1,267 for White Ribbon Australia.

In 2021, the University of Queensland Women’s College hosted a fundraising ball and raised an incredible $4,800 for White Ribbon Australia.

The event was attended by 450 University of Queensland College students aged between 18 and 25, and activities on the night included raffles, a live band and a photo booth.

Speaking to the event organiser, they recommended looking at our event resources to help raise money and awareness about your event.

Natasha shaved her hair on White Ribbon Day 2021 at her office to raise awareness and funds about the issue. One of her colleagues shaved her hair while she streamed the event for the rest of the office to join. She raised $1,825.

“I am holding a White Ribbon Event as one of the lucky Domestic Violence survivors. I am raising money so no other women and children will have to live in a home that is not safe. I am raising money to support awareness of all forms of violence and to create a society where all women and children live in a safe environment”.

Recently St Patrick’s Football Club in Sydney hosted a White Ribbon Round event, which over 100 local community members attended. The players wore our football white ribbon socks.

In attendance was one of our Community Partners, who was able to speak to players and spectators throughout the event.

This local sporting club raised just under $6,000, which will help fund more Community Action Groups and Community Partners to help end violence against women and children.
