Activity 1: Community Workshop to explore the White Ribbon Digit Barbers Shop resources

The Lithgow Cares Interagency would like to extend an invitation to community members who are interested in learning more about the constructive ways they can be involved in our mission to eliminate violence against women and children.  We are offering a community workshop to discover more about the White Ribbon Australia Digital Barber Shop resources, and the ways in which we can better engage in challenging conversations about misconceptions, myths, and harmful behaviours. We will also connect community members to relevant resources to support victim survivors, or persons whom are seeking to make healthy respectful changes.

For further information & registration for catering purposes please contact: Lithgow Information & Neighbourhood Centre 6352 2077 or Lithgow Community Projects Inc. 6351 2230

Activity 2 Community Education and Partnerships

Throughout the month of May, Lithgow Cares Interagency will partner with key community organisations and businesses to promote the White Ribbon Barbers Shop resources, and encourage workplace promotions which facilitate discussion of the resources, ways to engage in healthy and constructive discussions, and to promote awareness of relevant supports.

Activity 3

A free community BBQ will be held on a Saturday morning at Bunning to share White Ribbon Barbers Shop and support resources, and engage community in constructive discussions in ways to reduce violence against women and children.
