Community Organising

Community organising builds power through gathering people with shared interests to take collective action. This approach recognises that significant social change tends to come about through the coordinated action of a number of people, rather than by isolated individuals. The process of community organising involves finding out what people care about by speaking to them directly, building networks and relationships with the intention of acting collectively, and eventually acting together to challenge power in order to bring about social change.
