White Lady Funerals Remembrance Service

As dawn breaks on White Ribbon Day, a group of White Lady funeral arrangers will gather at Martin Place. They will set up 52 white folding chairs in rows, as if for a service, but the chairs will remain empty, each one representing a woman killed by a current or former partner this year. The arrangers will take their positions around the display and hold a minute of silence to remember of the victims of domestic violence.

 Afterwards, bystanders will be invited to enter the event space to accept a white rose. Each rose is tagged with a QR code to the White Ribbon Day website where they can learn more and donate if they need.
