White Ribbon Day Op-Shop Fundraiser
Week 6, White Ribbon Day Week
This term, Thebarton Senior College will be hosting an Op-Shop style event to support White Ribbon Day, continuing the meaningful work Hamdi started with the Clothes Swap. The event is co-organized by the Student Leadership and Volunteer Group and aims to raise funds and awareness for the White Ribbon Foundation's initiatives to end men’s violence against women.
During White Ribbon Day week, students and staff will have the opportunity to purchase donated clothing and other items with a coin donation. All proceeds will go directly to the White Ribbon Foundation, supporting their primary prevention programs.
How to Contribute:
Item Donations: Donations will be accepted until the event. Collection bins are already available in the Learning Hub.
Direct Donations: Those who wish to contribute further can donate directly to this fundraising page, with both cash and card options available.
Post-Event:
Any remaining items will be placed in the Library of Things or donated to Mehran’s Op-Shop.
This event supports both our students in need and the broader effort to promote equality and end violence against women. Every donation, whether through items or funds, contributes to meaningful change.
