Combatting Violence Against Women - One Step At A Time
Violence against women is a nationwide issue, with 1 in 4 women experiencing violence at one point in their life. At least 27 women have been killed this year due to violence inflicted by a man. This is a major public health issue and a violation of the rights of millions of women globally. Violence against women has serious repercussions, examples being reduced psychological health, affected reproductive systems, and a degradation of physical health.Any woman can be affected by violence and lives can be destroyed, which is why we need to take action now.
