Women's Legal Service Tasmania Partnership with Cricket North
Women's Legal Service Tasmania in Partnership with Cricket North are holding a White Ribbon Cricket Round on the 19th and 20th of November 2020. Players, teams and social members will be asked to wear white armbands during matches to raise awareness of the issue of violence against women and children. Cricket is a huge part of our local community and is an important setting for raising awareness and influencing change in the prevention of violence against woman and children. The NTCA is a huge promoter of female participation in sport and creating sporting cultures free from violence against women is vital for engaging women and girls in cricket and contributing to their sense of safety.Donations will be sort to support this worthy cause.
Together we join the global movement that focuses on making personal and community change to prevent violence against women and children. We support a vision to see Australia free from all forms of violence and abuse against Women and Children as is every woman's and child's right and everyone's responsibility.Â
