My Updates

Day 29

12km run along the beach while jack did surf club followed by a swim. 18km tomorrow to reach my goal of 400kms.

Day 28

12km run down to the estuary. Couple runs left to hit 400kms. Body feels pretty good but im definitely feeling like a rest day. Not far now

Day 27

16km run out towards Belvedere. Body felt good. 3 more runs to get over 400. 🏃‍♂️

Day 26

12km run along the back beach after a mental health first aid course refresher at the lighthouse. Actually felt pretty good. Wind was a bit annoying heading south. Ready to hit the last 4 days 🏃‍♂️

Day 25

Another day ive found hard to get out. 10kms after work. Bit windy and a bit tired today. Edging closer to the goal. Should be able to ramp it up a bit now heading towards the weekend.

Day 24

Hard up for time again after work. 10km run down to the estuary. Body felt better then I expected. Nice evening to be out running. 6 runs left to do 80km.

Day 23

10km run after work. Warm day. Wasn't easy finding the time to run today. Literally in the door then back out running at 6.

Day 22

12km run along the back beach and a much needed recovery swim after. I knew this one was going to hurt driving in. Either way, today I reached my initial target of 300kms with 8 days to go. The bar has been raised. 100kms in the next 8 days. Won't be easy early in the week but I should be able to make up ground later in the week.

Day 21

Officially raised the target to 400kms in 30 days. 13km run today. Felt flat. Seem to be finding the windiest part of the day to run atm 😫🤣

Day 20

Big week, 2 weeks of nightshift so happy to grind out 16kms today. Headwind for the first 5kms wasn't ideal. Target will have to be raised now. Determined to do at least 10 a day still.

Day 19

15km run. Thought this one was going to be a struggle but felt pretty good. Happy to come home with the wind. Last nightshift tonight.

Day 18

12km run, not much sleep but had to get the run done before a busy arvo running around before work. Body definitely felt tired today

Day 18

15km run after nightshift. Body is feeling pretty good.

Day 17

12km run along the back beach. Night shift again this week will make things hard.

Day 16

Average day to be running. 10km run in town while Jack does surf club. Very windy. Today I hit 200km which im happy with. Keen to ramp up and push in the second half. 400???

Day 15

Long run today. Feeling the love from the donations, 20kms. Body felt ok. Half way there

Day 14.

12km through Treendale to change up the scenery. Felt ok after the last night shift for the week. Nearly half way

Day 13

12 km run, feeling the pinch after a few nightshifts. Means I get to run in the heat of the day 😵‍💫

Day 12

12km run. Avoided the hills. Today I hit my half way target on day 12. Over 150 kms down.

Day 11

15km run after the first nightshift for the week was a grind. Getting warm. Felt ok for most of it. Last 5 km were tough

Day 10

15km run out towards Belvedere. Paris road hills killed me on the way home. One third of the way through. Happy with my total so far

Day 9

11 km run in town, change of scenery was good followed by a swim at the beach afterwards.

Day 8

12.5km run. Pretty sore today. Running into the wind wasnt ideal. Pushed through and happy to grind out what i did

Day 7

12km run, pretty tired after a big week of work and a few kms up already

Day 6

13 km run after work. Bit of wind around again, body felt ok.

Day 5

10km run after work. Very hard to find the time after work. Felt ok

Day 4

11km run after work, rushed for time. Banking a few extra kms in case. Felt ok

Day 3

12km dash out past the crab park near BP Australind straight after work. Hard up for time today after work.

Day 2

15km run towards Belvedere, pretty warm and heaps of smoke around. Felt ok after a busy weekend

First day progress

5 km park run with Jack. Got home and ticked off 8km around Kingston.
