Why Crown & Corset?
When I think about how domestic violence impacted my family, the thing I remember most isn’t just the darkness—it’s the people who helped us find the light. 🤍✨
Domestic violence is an issue that touched my family deeply, and we experienced firsthand the profound secondary trauma and ripple effects that come with it. Navigating those trials together was one of the hardest things we’ve ever faced. What got us through was the incredible community around us—the friends, family, and networks that became our lifeline when our world felt like it was falling apart.
That deep gratitude is exactly why Crown & Corset was born. 👑 I wanted to create an event where we could celebrate that kind of life-saving community support, reclaim our joy, and get dressed up together—feeling powerful, hopeful, and empowered.
But we also have to fight for a future where that support is matched by prevention. That is why Crown & Corset is so proud to support White Ribbon Australia.
The reality in our country is heartbreaking:
1 in 4 women have experienced physical or sexual violence from an intimate partner.
Every 9 days, a woman in Australia dies from domestic homicide.
White Ribbon is the world's largest movement engaging men and boys to stop violence before it starts. Their mission is primary prevention—educating communities and workplaces to ensure every woman and family can live free from violence and abuse.
