Flags of Hope

The flag project for Domestic Violence White Ribbon Day is a community-focused initiative that uses art to foster hope and healing. Through a series of workshops, participants create flags adorned with traditional women’s handiwork, such as lacework, and inscribe them with messages of encouragement, resilience, and lived experiences. These flags will form a powerful installation displayed on White Ribbon Day, serving as a collective voice against domestic violence and a symbol of strength and solidarity. The project concludes with a community morning tea to honor the day and its message.
