19th November 4pm-6pm (Youth Space open until 7pm-To provide support, safe place and services for young people)

A safe and fun space for young people (10-17yrs) and their carers to find solutions and talk about family and intimate partner violence and how the community keeps women and children safe from violence, abuse and coercion.

A collaboration between several services and organisations (Especially those who work with victim survivors, perpetrators and children.) who have come together to facilitate and plan an opportunity for young people and their community to learn, discuss and find solutions and keep the conversation and issue going past White Ribbon Day. 

Welcome to country

Two yarning circles facilitated by youth workers, men's behaviour change facilitators, Family Domestic Violence workers (Youth and adult), community men's group members. 

Community Canvas/Purple Bench-There will be the opportunity to create a community canvas and paint a purple bench-Locations to be placed identified by those who attend event.

Safe space/Chill out-Linkages to resources and services.

Face Painting, games, free sausage sizzle (Bunnings/facilitated by Stratton Youth Rugby Club/local businesses) and DJ.

Prizes/Take away resources/strategies/increased knowledge on the issue and supports.
