Resources (MRL) will be running a series of staff activities to create awareness and
conversation for White Ribbon Day, focused on the 2021 theme 'How Can Men Make
Change'.
Educating
staff and talking about these issues helps to promote safe, respectful
relationships and gender equality from within the workplace and in homes, and demonstrates
MRL's culture of zero tolerance of violence against women.
MRL
will be running an internal education campaign, host a "Wear White
Wednesday" on 17 November giving all staff a symbolic white ribbon to
wear.
On
White Ribbon Day, Friday 19 November, we will host a virtual gathering for staff,
with a live talk from UK White Ribbon Ambassador and award-winning domestic
abuse advocate Ryan Hart. White Ribbon Day cookies will be provided for all
staff and there will be opportunities for “conversation over coffee”
during the week.
Proceeds
from the staff “coffee, cookie and conversation” mornings and from the white ribbons will be donated to the White Ribbon Australia fundraising effort
to help create the change we need in our communities.
