White Ribbon day @ Melaleuca Refugee Centre

By Melaleuca Refugee Centre

Melaleuca Refugee Centre is a not for profit organisation based in Darwin in the Northern Territory. The organisation provides a range of integrated specialist services that supports humanitarian entrants, migrants, and people from culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD) backgrounds to achieve positive settlement outcomes enabling them to become self-sufficient and realise their aspirations.

On white Ribbon Day, Melaleuca will host a breakfast for invited guests and community members in conjunction with its AGM. The organisation will be launching its Commitment to contributing to stopping violence against women and children, which involves progressing work towards being a white ribbon accredited workplace.

A guest speaker who has worked with women and children experiencing DV will speak about the effects, the challenges and the opportunities. This even will highlight the journey that Melaleuca is on.
