White Ribbon Australia is a part of a global social movement working to eliminate gendered violence.

1800RESPECT is the national online and telephone counselling and support service for people who have experienced, or are at risk of experiencing, sexual assault and/or domestic and family violence, their family and friends, and frontline and isolated workers.

During the 2022/2023 financial year, 1800RESPECT answered almost 270’000 calls or web messages.

As a team, over the month of November, we aim to walk/run a total of 270kms to show our support and are tracking a leaderboard of contributors.

We welcome donations in support of our challenge, and hope to raise awareness on site of this issue and the resources available to those who need them.

Today we have reevaluated our km goal and have decided to DOUBLE DOWN!! 540km is our new goal. We have over $1100 in donations and are determined to reach the fundraising goal of $2700 - Olivia has been in the kitchen to create some tasty brownies, muffins and cookies to sell at the Orica office in place of a donation to the cause!

WE DID IT!!! Another 20.8 km today which brings our total km count to 275.94! One goal SMASHED! Really proud of the team for digging in and contributing both on site and at home for the km count. 
We are not stopping - let's see how far we can go :)

24km submitted by the team today... it is now well over 40 degrees on site so getting in these kms is harder but we are so close... 255.14 in total!
