The Mildura Airport is proud to announce our partnership with White Ribbon Australia in the Prevention of Men’s Violence Against Women.

We have embarked on the journey towards White Ribbon Accreditation and join local business leaders Mildura Rural City Council and Southern Cross Farms who continue to participate in the White Ribbon Program, and have been committed to the prevention of violence against Women in our region for a number of years.

We understand that Men’s Violence Against Women is a wide spread social issue across Australia and is present within our community.  As an organisation we believe we have an obligation to provide training and awareness to our employees to build a socially and emotionally aware workforce that supports safety and mutual trust and respect.

We also understand that this is an issue that everybody in our community can help to put an end to.

This year we encourage the community to partner with Mildura Rural City Council’s Walk for White Ribbon, by putting on something white and taking a selfie while out walking and posting it to social media, using the hashtag #whiteribbonmildura in the lead up to White Ribbon Day on Friday 19 November.

If you happen to be at the Mildura Airport from the 19th to 30th November, we encourage you to take a selfie in front of our White Ribbon banner while you are waiting for your flight or having a coffee in our Airport Café and upload it to social media with the hashtag #whiteribbonmilduraairport.

You can also donate to White Ribbon at our Airport Café to raise funds for this amazing organisation.  We will be donating a percentage of our Café sales to White Ribbon to support their prevention work in schools, workplaces and communities around Australia to decrease the episodes of men’s violence against women.

For more information we encourage a visit to the White Ribbon Website www.whiteribbon.org.au.
