My target 42 kms
On 14 November, I’ll be running the Queenstown Marathon,42.2 kilometres dedicated to raising awareness and funds for the prevention of violence against women in Australia.
Every woman deserves to feel safe. Safe in her home, in her relationships, in her community, and simply going about her everyday life. Yet for far too many women in Australia, that safety isn’t guaranteed.
I’m incredibly fortunate that running is something I get to choose to do but even in my training I’ve experienced that all too well known feeling of unease. So I’ve decided to use this challenge as an opportunity to stand for something much bigger than crossing a finish line.
I’m raising funds for White Ribbon Australia, an organisation working towards the prevention of violence against women by challenging the attitudes and behaviours of men and boys that allow it to continue.
Whether you donate $5, $20 or simply share this page, every contribution means so much to me.
Thank you for supporting me and, more importantly, for supporting a future free from violence against women. 🤍
